<p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: 14px">I have been talking about meditation as a tool that cam help you to achieve the success and happiness in your life. For some people it is an effective way to connect with themselves. Meditation, in my opinion, is a tool that helps you to connect again with yourself. Being in connection with yourself is fundamental to grow and develop.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: 14px">Now, the reason that I am talking about this, is that I have encountered a DVD in which the &#39;OM&#39;, the sound that is used in the eastern religions, is explained in much more detailed and how it can help you to connect with yourself. I really have the DVD at home, and it is really interesting to watch and apply what is explained.</span></p>

		<description><![CDATA[Definition of the Law of Attraction: I attract to myself, whatever I give my focus, attention, or energy to; whether wanted or unwanted.]]></description>
			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: small">Before I explain why a minute of Deliberate Attraction is better than none, I&#8217;d like to begin by giving a definition of The Law of Attraction.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: small">Definition of the Law of Attraction: I attract to myself, whatever I give my focus, attention, or energy to; whether wanted or unwanted.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: small">It is important to understand that The Law of Attraction operates in every moment. Right now, in this very moment, each of us is offering a vibration and The Law of Attraction is matching that vibration and giving us more of it; whether or not we are offering that vibration deliberately or non-deliberately. As the definition says, whether wanted or unwanted, we attract more of whatever vibration we offer in every moment. When it comes to our vibration, whether or not they are deliberately offered, or non-deliberately offered, and whether or not our vibration attracts to us something we want or don&#8217;t want, The Law of Attraction is still paying attention and operating in exactly the same way&#8212;in EVERY moment.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: small">Ideally, we will want to become more deliberate offer-ers about the vibrations we offer. When we become deliberate about what we give our focus, attention, and energy to, we are practicing Deliberate Attraction! Here is an easy 4-stage cycle to help you understand why Deliberate Attraction is an important skill to practice.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: small">Stage #1: You observe what you are attracting in any moment of your life.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: small">Stage #2: While observing what you are attracting, you are offering a corresponding vibration.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: small">Stage #3: Whether offered deliberately or non-deliberately, in every moment, The Law of Attraction is checking in with your vibration.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: small">Stage #4: The Law of Attraction then gives you more of whatever you are offering vibrationally.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: small">This 4-stage cycle keeps repeating itself over, and over and over again. This is how you manifest more of whatever you give your focus, attention, or energy to.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: small">Notice the word &#8216;attention&#8217; in our definition of The Law of Attraction. The more Deliberate Attention you give to something you desire, the more quickly it will manifest in your life. Imagine spending one minute deliberately placing your focus, attention, and energy on the way you want something to be in your life. You are filling that minute with deliberately offered vibrations. Your vibrations are summoning the energy of The Law of Attraction to start unfolding whatever you just gave your attention to.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: small">Now that you understand, more clearly, the significance of being a deliberate offer-er of your vibration, isn&#8217;t one minute of deliberate attraction better than none? Remember, when you give attention to what you Do want, you are including it in your current vibration. And, when you give attention to what you DON&#8217;T want, you are including it in your current vibration. The Law of Attraction doesn&#8217;t make any distinctions between the two.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: small">In closing, in every moment, including this moment RIGHT NOW, RIGHT NOW, RIGHT NOW, you are including both what you want and don&#8217;t want in your vibration. Practice becoming more deliberate in your vibration and you will manifest your desires more quickly. That&#8217;s what Deliberate Attraction is all about.</span></p>

Poets, teachers and sages have pronounced the good news of it for thousands of years. Books have been written about it. Songs have been song about it and people have made a fortune teaching it. But do you know enough about it to use it? The Law Of Attraction is probably the most powerful Universal Principle we know of, do you think, perhaps, you should learn a little more about it and maybe even use it to create your dreams?</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: small">The Law Of Attraction at its very basic level states that everything is created by thought and that thought attracts to itself physical things, people, situations and circumstances. Your predominant thoughts are activating the Law of Attraction this very moment and bringing these things into your life!</span></p>

Here are some general brain exercises you can do anywhere, followed by a few ideas for exercising specific areas of brain function.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: small"><strong>Some Simple Brain Exercises</strong></span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: small">An entertaining brain exercise is to invent things in your mind. You can use many techniques for doing this. It can be as simple as looking at things and asking &quot;How could this be better?&quot; Consider a clock, for example, and you might wonder if it would be better if you didn&#8217;t have to look at it. Maybe a clock that periodically announced the time and even reminded you of appointments might be useful.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: small">Other brain exercises involve puzzle solving. These can range from crossword puzzles to difficult lateral thinking puzzles, but a simpler, fun version of the latter, is the basic riddle. For example, &quot;Why wasn&#8217;t Bertha put in jail after killing dozens of people?&quot; Because she was a hurricane. Whether riddles are easy or difficult, they get your mind thinking in new directions, and this is good for getting your mind out of it&#8217;s &quot;ruts.&quot;.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: small">Inventing jokes is one of the more difficult brain exercises, especially if you haven&#8217;t done it before. Just take a topic or a word at random, and find a way to make a joke with it. The word &quot;Justice,&quot; for example, could become &quot;What&#8217;s the one place in the world you can find justice?&quot; In the dictionary! If you draw a blank after five or ten minutes, move on to the next word or topic.</span></p>

<p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: small">You may want to work on a particular area of your brainpower. Some of us have trouble with visual imagination, for example. To be architects, we would want to improve that. This can be done by concentrating on scenes in one&#8217;s mind. Imagine walking through your home, for example, and repeat the process until you can easily &quot;see&quot; everything in each room.</span></p>

For example, mentally placing a list of items to be remembered at predetermined locations in your house, and seeing them there in an unusual way (think cucumbers dancing in the microwave), is one such technique. Just imagining where you&#8217;ll see a person next, and calling to them by name in your imagination is a good way to remember names.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: small">get a little wild to develop your creativity. See things and imagine something absurd, like flying lights. For more than just an exercise in imagination, though, you have to create some sense of the image. For this example, I&#8217;m thinking there might be a market for little lights on helium balloons. With a more or less neutral buoyancy for the balloons, a party could be full of colorful, floating, moving lights.</span></p>

<p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: small">Don&#8217;t pay too much attention to the experts. They told the Beatles that the time for a guitar group had passed! At least one of them, Paul McCartney, is still going strong.He played at half-time at the Superbowl in 2005. Not bad for someone whose time had passed.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: small">Stephen Hawking was diagnosed with motor neurone disease at the age of 21. He was given two years to live. He went on to get married and have three children and became one of the greatest theoretical physicists that the world has ever known.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: small">He is now Professor of Mathematics at Cambridge &ndash; the position once held by Sir Isaac Newton. At least 40 years have passed since he was supposed to have died.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: small">Recently in the UK some mothers have been released from jail. They had spent years of sheer hell in prison for allegedly killing their own children.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: small">The evidence against them provided by a leading &#8216;expert&#8217; has been shown to be faulty. They are now free but their lives have probably been destroyed irreparably.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: small">The expert has not even been sacked from his job.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: small">The experts probably told Sir Ranulph Fiennes that running 7 marathons in 7 days soon after a massive heart attack was not a good idea. He did it anyway.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: small">Sir Ranulph, who was described as the world&#8217;s greatest explorer in 1984 in the Guinness book of records, has the self-confidence to ignore the experts.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: small">Sir Ranulph now plans to climb Everest by the difficult route. The experts are probably not bothering to tell him that a man with a heart condition should not try to pass the &#8216;death zone&#8217; on Everest where oxygen is in short supply.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: small">Sir Ranulph is not too concerned. He believes that, If you plan meticulously and take the right person and the best kit and accept the fact that luck is an element, you will do alright.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: small">Recently Anthony Smith, a 78 year old UK pensioner, has asked for three volunteers over the age of 65, to accompany him on a raft made of gas pipes across the Atlantic.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: small">Two of the gas pipes will be sealed full of air to provide buoyancy and the others will be filled with water for drinking and washing.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: small">A woman of 24 volunteered for the voyage, despite the request for male applicants over 65. Her application was reluctantly rejected.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: small">Anthony may or may not succeed but he has probably already had a boat load of experts telling him not to set sail. I have a feeling they may be right in this case!</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: small">I, for one, will not be volunteering to accompany him. Like Nelson, I suffer badly from sea sickness and can&#8217;t swim too well!</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: small">An expert told me, many years ago, that I was making a fuss after I had a minor operation on my toe. I was in severe pain for two or three days. My mother did not believe the expert&#8217;s assessment and eventually removed the bandage. My toe was black with gangrene.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: small">The bandage, put on by another &#8216;expert&#8217;, had been too tight. I could have lost both my leg and my life if my mother had paid too much respect to the experts.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: small">Frank Garon, the internet guru and philosopher, makes the key point that there are more than enough experts and critics to go around. We don&#8217;t need to become our own critic.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: small">&quot;The rest of the world will do the job, of trying to shoot you down, for you. You don&#8217;t need to do it yourself. You have to be your own cheerleader and your own biggest fan. Not your biggest enemy, and my fear is that maybe you don&#8217;t cheer yourself on enough or give yourself enough credit or enough of a chance.&quot;</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: small">Obviously one should at least listen to the experts. Many of them do know what they are doing and could save your life or your money.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: small">After all, an expert, Dr. Mike Stroud, accompanied Ranulph Fiennes on his marathon runs and great polar expeditions.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: small">However, we should not automatically assume that experts are always right. Some of them are spectacularly wrong.</span></p>

Think about the good things in your live you should be thankful for. Appreciate your job (even if you don&rsquo;t like it).</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: small">Feel gratitude for a place to live. If you have some food, some friends or anything else you can find to appreciate, appreciate it. A lot of people don&rsquo;t have enough even basic things like food, water and their own place to live. It&rsquo;s natural that you want more, that you want to improve your standard of life, but first you need to feel gratitude for what you already have. </span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: small">If you start your day with feelings of gratitude you will feel good and you can keep that feeling all day.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: small">But you should also write down something like this: &quot;I am so happy and grateful that&hellip;&quot; and then write what you would like to have. For example: &quot;I am very happy and grateful that I make $1 million per year; that I have wonderful and loving wife&hellip;etc.&quot; Use the present tense, visualize the things you want, be grateful for them, and think about them as already yours. When you achieve them, you can add new things to your list. When you write about money, start first with amount you believe is possible and then increase the amount when you got the amount you&rsquo;d written down. Be specific.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: small">When you start doing as described above, at first you might feel strange that you are using present tense for the things you want to have in the future, but it&rsquo;s important to train your mind and force your mind to think about them in present tense. After some time of playing such &quot;mental ping pong&quot; your mind will obey and will help you to achieve the things you want.</span></p>

It might mean building more confidence and self-esteem or learning how to be less aggressive. </span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: small">Change involves inner work before the outer work can begin. That is always the case. As Albert Einstein said, &quot; The significant problems we face cannot be solved on the same level of thinking we were at when we created them.&quot; Steven Covey, in his critically acclaimed book, &lsquo;The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People&rsquo;, stresses the concept of inner work before outer work or change:</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: small">&quot;The inside-out approach to change means to start first with self; even more fundamental, to start with the most inside part of self &#8211; with your paradigms, your character and your motives.&quot;</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: small">So, if change is to happen and if it is to last, we need to acknowledge that we must take a look at who we are now and who we want to be in the future. We will have to be honest with ourselves and recognize reality as it exists and not as we think it should or could be. We need to develop a high level of awareness and clarity about everything that we do as all too often, our subconscious tends to run the show and not us. Most importantly, we need to take full responsibility for our lives and not place the blame elsewhere. That also involves giving up the need to control things&hellip;except of course, yourself. Until you are willing to do this kind of work, change will not occur, at least not enduring change.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: small">Where are you feeling dissatisfied? Where are you noticing dissonance in your life? Where are you feeling stuck? Identify the issues. Now, recognize exactly where you are and then consider where you would like to be in the future if everything were running smoothly? If for instance, your sales team is not performing up to budget and you are having a difficult time motivating them towards success, consider what a sales team that is highly motivated and successful would look like. Consider what your role would be in achieving that goal? Who would you be? How would you function? How would you feel? The gap between where you are now and where you want to be is where the work will be done.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: small">In Life Coaching we find that your ability to succeed at your job is highly dependent on whether your values and passions are in alignment with your job and it&rsquo;s requirements. After some serious inquiry, you might discover the things that are called for in motivating your sales team. Say it will consist of more patience, more enthusiasm, more nurturing and more of a team atmosphere. Are these the kind of things that hold value for you? If not, you will be unable to be effective.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: small">Do the important inner work of discovering who you are now, what matters to you, what you are passionate about and what you place value on. Are these things showing up for you in your everyday life? If not, there is sure to be dissonance. </span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: small">If being successful in your work is of great value to you then what are you willing to do and not to do in order to be a success? Are you willing to make the necessary changes in how you are being? Are you willing to try something different? Are the things you need to do aligned with your values and passions? What are you willing to say yes to and even more important, what are you willing to say no to?</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: small">Awareness, as mentioned is of utmost concern when effecting change. When we are living our lives in a state of true awareness wherein we are truly conscious of our actions, we can free ourselves from reactive, self-defeating behavior and realize our personal best. Unfortunately, although we may think that we make conscious decisions, in reality our unconscious mind often impacts our behavior and when it does our actions are not truly under our control. We can learn to recognize the unconscious, that part of our mind that has great power over much of our actions without us even being aware of its existence. In doing so, we can diminish its power over us.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: small">As an example, try simply noticing that voice inside your head that gets very chatty whenever you are about to make a decision, especially an important one that could result in change. Is it telling you that you&rsquo;re nuts to consider what you are thinking of doing? Does it say that you failed once before and will probably do so again? We fail to understand that the voice is out to sabotage us. Just by noticing it you will realize that this inner saboteur is at work. In the act of noticing you begin to empower yourself to make truly conscious decisions that will result in positive and lasting changes in your life. </span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: small">I have mentioned how changing reactive, self-defeating behavior is key to realizing our personal best. What is reactive behavior versus proactive behavior? When you are reacting to life and it&rsquo;s circumstances you are on the defensive. You are not in control. Life&rsquo;s circumstances are dictating your behavior and actions versus your being proactive and in control of your actions. There is a good chance that you are being activated unconsciously as well. Example: Your boss gives you what you consider to be a harsh criticism of your latest report. Your adrenaline rushes and a wave of angry indignation rolls over you. In that emotional state, you are unable to actually hear what he or she has to say because you are already defending yourself. Your response to him is defensive and somewhat irrational.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: small">You cannot control what he/she had to say but you can control how you handle yourself. Therein lies the key to non-reactive behavior: your ability to handle situations in ways that prove productive versus destructive. Stop and think. Pause. Get your heart rate back to the normal range. Without taking anything personally, was there anything in what he had to say that had merit? Is there some sort of deep learning to be had, either from him or you? Could the perceived harshness perhaps have been amplified by your defensiveness? </span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: small">&quot; Being proactive means that as human beings, we are responsible for our own lives. Our behavior is a function of our decisions, not our conditions. We can subordinate feelings to values. We have the initiative and the responsibility to make things happen.&quot;</span></p>

<p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: small">Life will always be throwing things our way, much of it unpleasant and challenging. That&rsquo;s life. We cannot control life but we can control how we handle it. If we are really aware and in tune with what is happening, we can learn not to add meaning to reality where there is no additional meaning needed. For example, in the above incident, you may have reacted because you assumed your boss thought you were in the wrong and therefore not up to snuff. But that was just what you thought he meant. What you think he meant and what he said are often two very different entities. Perhaps all he meant was that your work could have been better and he wanted to steer you in the right direction. </span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: small">Often, adding meaning where there is none harkens back to childhood. Your Father</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: small">was always highly critical and you came to believe that this meant that you were a loser</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: small">and wouldn&rsquo;t amount to anything. That is the type of meaning a child creates in response </span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: small">to an unpleasant situation. What really happened is that you had a highly critical father. Period. The most unfortunate part is that this type of reaction to criticism will often be carried into adult hood and anytime criticism is leveled at you, you respond with your childhood reaction: I am a loser. The ability to control reactive behavior and see things for just what they are can make a world of difference in your life.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: small">Finally, a word about perspective or attitude. How we view the world or any given situation will dictate our effectiveness and our state of mind. Change your attitude and you not only change the way you see things, you will change your reality. If you approach your work/life as being tough, that perspective will trickle down into everything you do. Try a new perspective on, one that will work in accordance with your goals and desires.</span></p>

<p style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: small">Inner work means that we are laying the foundation for a mindset that allows us to make lasting changes that will create a more meaningful, productive and happy life. Once the inner work is done, the outer changes will compound like bank interest. Your authenticity will shine and people will be drawn to this new you. You will view everything that happens as an opportunity for growth and grow and change you will. The work you do and its subsequent benefits will spread into all areas of your life, not just the ones that you may have originally pinpointed. The vision you held of the will become your reality now.</span></p>
